I’ve also been quite busy with work these fast few weeks.   I’ve been busy traveling around to various cities for meetings and even made it to 5 states in 3 days last week.  Needless to say, Seth and I have been sticking around the house this weekend and just relaxing.  I’m so thankful to have such a great husband!   I’ve got another week of travel coming up so I better get to bed early tonight.  I hope everyone has a great week! 

We’ve had a pretty quiet weekend around here, that is after Thursday evening.  We went to the much anticipated Britney Spears “Circus” Concert at the Sprint Center. I had bought tickets back in December…and was really looking forward to it.  I thought the show was great.  It was a huge production…with a complete three-ring circus cast, an amazing stage with lots of special effects, VERY talented dancers, and of COURSE, BRITNEY!!  The crowd was electric and every song was more entertaining than the last.  I especially enjoyed watching the dancers; these people are SO talented.   WAY TO MAKE A COMEBACK MS. SPEARS!  :)

  We always look for this building when we’re trying to figure out where our building is from far away.  At night it lights up with different colors at the top, and reminds us of Gotham City.

We can see the Kansas City Convention Center to one side, on the other is the Power and Light District.

I took this picture when I walking around one evening last summer.  Our building is the small one in the middle, and there are murals painted on the side of this building bordering the Power and Lights District.

I took this picture from inside the Sprint Center a few weekends ago when Seth and I went to the NCAA Tournament.  The place was PACKED with excited basketball fans, and the party didn’t stop from Wednesday until Saturday.

Needless to say, we like it down here.  In January a new grocery store opened up just a block from our building….but more to come about that later.

The first game was Memphis vs. Maryland.  It was a good game at first, but Memphis ended up taking it away at the end.  The next game was Oklahoma vs. Michigan.  It was exciting the whole time, and Blake Griffin had some AMAZING dunks.  Even though we weren’t really rooting for a specific team, it was a lot of fun seeing other team’s traditions and of course, checking out their dance teams.  :)  Afterwards we walked around the Power and Lights District and headed home.  It was so nice not having to worry about parking and what-not in order to go to an event like this.  Next on the list….Britney Spears in concert on April 2nd!!!

It’s hard to tell form the picture above, but the crust was very thin and airy.  I especially enjoy this type of pizza because I can eat more pieces without getting stuffed!

I got the Sonoam salad.  The greens were topped with grapes, apples, raisins, goat cheese, chopped glazed pecans, and SPIN! Blood Orange Vinaigrette.  YUM!!!

The menu features “red” pizzas, topped with tomato sauce and italian cheese and “white” pizzas, topped with an olive oil glaze, mozzerella and other italian cheeses.  Seth and I both had a white pizza…..and we didn’t miss the sauce at all!  We are planning on making a return visit very soon because as you can see, there are MANY options to choose from.

Not only was the food delicious, but the atmosphere was very cool.  Once we placed our order we picked a table and waited for our dinner to be brought out to us.  There was also outdoor seating and lots of big booths.  And to top everything off, it was a very affordable meal.  What more can I say?!?!  Obviously SPIN really hit the spot.

Let’s just say I wasn’t hungry for almost 24 hours after that.   I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

You don’t get it do you??  This was Seth’s own version of a cake that would be found on “CakeWrecks.”  This is a blog that I visit often for a little comic relief in my life.  It’s basically a site where the blogger compiles pictures of professional bakery cakes gone bad.  You’ll just have to check it out to fully understand….but you’ll get a kick out of it.  Or at least I do!!   Thanks Seth for a great birthday and a very clever (and tasty I might add) birthday cake!!!

20.  I was in a Branson show when I was little called “Dino”.  I played the piano and danced.  I was “6 and a half.”

18.  I wasn’t even a Razorback fan when I made the Razorback dance team.  I stuck with it for 4 years and wouldn’t trade it for the world.

17.  I tivo The Martha (Stewart) Show everyday and watch it.  Even though I find her to be annoying at times, she still amazes me.  That lady does it ALLLLL.

16.  I completed a sprint triathlon when I was 18.  I probably won’t ever do one again.  Not because I didn’t have fun….but because I hated the biking portion. 

15.  I moved to a different state and different high school right before my 16th birthday.  I thought my life was ending, but looking back it was the best thing that ever happened to me.

14.  Seth amazes me with his immense knowledge of music.  He always knows who’s singing this song or that song, and normally he’s seen them in concert at least once. 

13.  Me on the other hand, I recently bought concert tickets to see Britney Spears at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.  I’m a total sucker for pop music, and I’m not afraid to admit it.

12.  I wish I was a pastry chef.

11.  My Dad always said I’d be a better adult than a kid.  Not really sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing….but sometimes I feel a lot older than I really am. 

10.  My lifes goal is to be as good of a cook as Nanny. 

9.  I don’t know whether I’m a republican or a democrat.  Seriously…….I’m right in the middle.

8.  I have a secret crush on Caleb from Kings of Leon.  Okay maybe it’s not a secret.  hehe. 

7.  Sometimes I wish I was a better relaxer.  I’m a busy body but I normally like it that way.

6.  I love Kanye West.  Seth and I went to see him in concert last year and it was the funnest thing ever.  Yes, he’s totally full of himself but I still love him.

4.  I love working out.  I think I’m addicted to the endorphins.

1.  Sometimes I wonder why I got lucky enough to be born into the family I was born into.   I mean I didn’t really do anything to deserve it.  But I got lucky….

This place is one of a kind.  When you get there you grab a table and a waitress gets your drink order.  Then you place your dinner order up at the counter and they call your name over the microphone when your food is ready. Everything is served plain, and then there’s a bar of every kind of condiment and topping you can think of to add on yourself.  Let’s just say I took advantage of the unlimited amount of pickles!
